Seattle - Hai Phong Sister City Association
Greater Seattle Vietnam Association (GSVA) founded the Seattle–Hai Phong Sister City Association in 1996, and the sister city relationship has been a GSVA program ever since. The Seattle-Haiphong Sister City Association sponsors exchanges, cultural events, and other activities to deepen the relationship between Seattle and Vietnam. The association is deeply involved in Hoa Phuong orphanage and the Thanh Xuan clinic for HIV-infected kids in Haiphong.

Visitors and Seattleites enjoy Seattle’s lively downtown, great shopping, wonderful restaurants, espresso carts on every corner, and a thriving cultural community full of theatre, music and museums.

It is situated along the banks of the Cam River, an important waterway that has transported goods to the north and Hanoi for many centuries.
